Kelly, David and Courtney;

The very first funeral that I remember attending was for a friend who committed suicide. I was about 15 years old.

At the funeral, they played a song by the Byrds - Turn! Turn!.

The lyrics from Ecclesiastes have really stayed with me.

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

That may have been the very first time that I really considered the nature of mortality and the reality of death.

Very often, time goes by without anyone thinking about it.

The very thoughful and inspired note in the service bulletin really made me think again.

28 days. So many things accomplished in that short and precious life.

I'm sure that there are more that were unmentioned, and some that have yet come to be.

That challenge will stick with me. To make each and every 28 days that I live worthy of the gift of life.

Ray Boltz ( a Christian Musician) sings a song about how Christ would have come for only one.

Only for ONE - he would have suffered and died.

I know that Brianna has touched many more.

I grieve with and for you in this difficult time and I will be praying for you in the days, weeks and years to come.
